Who are we

We are Hardy’s Hobbies, a small family business specialising in 3D scanning and modelling based in the UK.

Privacy Summary

Our policy is simple – Don’t collect more than is required and not to pass anything to any third party unless where necessary (Payment Systems, Google Analytics & Anti-Spam).

We do not perform any type of user tracking or marketing, and personal data is only collected and stored under the following circumstances:

  • You submit information to us in relation to an order.
  • You submit information to us to use the contact us form.

Personal Data in relation to an order

When placing an order, we will store your personal information. By doing this you accept that we store the information we need to complete the handling of your order and give you the best service you expect from us. Information provided will be held indefinitely but you may submit a data erasure request using our contact us form. Please note that we are required to keep order information under UK and EU legislation for the purposes of accounting, tax, and vat, so any requests may be limited by those legislations.

We operate using two payment gateways, Stripe & PayPal. In both instances, only information required to complete the payment process is sent to these third parties. Further information about Stripe & PayPal can be found at the below links:

Shipping information will be used / held by the Royal Mail and or other couriers in order to complete the handling of your order.

Personal Data in relation to the contact us form

All information submitted through our contact us form is voluntary. Information provided will be stored indefinitely unless requested by you, which you may do at any time using the contact us form.

Data submitted through our form is sent to a third party who provide anti-spam functionality, Akismet. This information can include all content within the form, along with the users IP address, user_agent, referrer and the site url. More information can be found at the link below:

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics so we can improve the website experience and product offerings by analysing user traffic through our site. We anonymize IP addresses passes to Google to provide privacy for our end user. Google thus only tracks the website URL’s visited and collects no information that could be used to identify the end user. You may at any point turn off Google Analytics here


We only operate with strictly necessary cookies that are required for the fundamental operation of the site.

No personal information is ever held in these cookies. Their use is for remembering user preferences, items in cart and payment functionality.
